Metro Black Expo Charlotte 2027

The Metro Black Expo is set to become the premier annual event in the Charlotte Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), dedicated to celebrating and advancing Black-owned businesses. To start, our 2027 launch will showcase the breadth and excellence of Black entrepreneurship through exhibitor booths, dynamic keynote speakers, thought-provoking panel discussions, and high-energy entertainment.

More significantly, the Expo serves as a catalyst for economic empowerment, collaboration, and long-term community growth, going far beyond a typical event. Consequently, it promises to unite stakeholders across industries to drive meaningful impact and elevate the Black business ecosystem throughout the region.

Announcing the Metro Black Expo (MBE) 2027

We are proud to announce the Metro Black Expo (MBE) 2027. This premier event will celebrate achievement, inspire growth, and uplift entire communities. At MBE, we believe everyone deserves the resources to shape their own destiny. Crucially, we recognize that economic empowerment is vital to this journey. In fact, true prosperity is not just financial success. It also involves building sustainable businesses, fostering leadership, and passing on knowledge to strengthen future generations.

Therefore, MBE exists to generate lasting community wealth. We achieve this by cultivating entrepreneurial excellence, promoting financial literacy, and developing strong leaders. These elements—entrepreneurship, education, health & wellness, and wealth creation—are the essential pillars of thriving communities.

A Movement for Change

Furthermore, our upcoming premier ceremony will serve as more than just a celebration—it will mark the start of a movement. During this powerful event, we will highlight stories of resilience, connect businesses and leaders with vital resources, and build partnerships that open doors to economic opportunity. We invite you to join us on this journey as we work collectively to create a future where prosperity and empowerment are within reach for everyone.

Welcome

Metro Black Expo — where empowerment meets opportunity.

The Metro Black Expo Charlotte is more than an event—it’s a movement. Our mission is to create a powerful platform for Black-owned businesses to thrive by connecting them with consumers, investors, and community allies.

Uniting Black Excellence

A Transformative Experience of Innovation, Learning & Growth

Each year, we bring together Black entrepreneurs, creatives, professionals, and thought leaders for a high-energy, high-impact experience. The Expo offers vendor showcases, educational workshops, speaker panels, and networking opportunities that drive visibility, innovation, and growth.

why Black-owned businesses

Black-owned businesses in the Charlotte metro area are vital because they drive local job creation, circulate wealth within the community, and play a key role in closing the racial wealth gap. Notably, Charlotte has experienced significant growth in Black-owned employer firms, with over 2,100 new businesses added from 2017 to 2022—an increase that underscores their expanding economic footprint. These businesses provide crucial cultural representation, preserve traditions, and inspire future entrepreneurs, while also strengthening neighborhoods through increased economic opportunities. Despite challenges such as limited access to capital and operational hurdles, Black-owned businesses continue to enrich Charlotte’s economy and culture substantially. Therefore, intentional support for these businesses is essential to fostering equity, resilience, and a more inclusive future for the city’s diverse communities

Building a Legacy: Inspiring Generations Through
Innovation, Empowerment & Black Excellence

We envision the Metro Black Expo evolving into a nationally celebrated tradition—a beacon of innovation,
empowerment, and cultural pride. Our goal is to create an enduring legacy that not only uplifts
Black-owned businesses but also inspires generations to dream bigger, achieve more, and build stronger
communities. Through connection, collaboration, and celebration, the Expo will serve as a powerful
catalyst for long-term economic advancement and collective success, year after year.
