Why It Matters

A dollar problem, not

Every year, capable students in the Metro Area get accepted into programs they can’t actually afford to attend. It’s rarely about ability. It’s an application fee they couldn’t cover, a laptop they didn’t have, a gap between a partial scholarship and the real cost of showing up.

The Metro Black Expo Scholarship Fund exists to close that specific gap — not to solve everything, just to make sure the money isn’t the reason a student says no.

Depending on Metro Black Expo’s nonprofit status at the time of your gift, part or all of your donation may be tax-deductible. You’ll receive a receipt for your records either way.
