FOCUS & IMPACT
Metro Black Expo (MBE): A Tradeshow & Festival is an event that exists to empower Black entrepreneurs, professionals, and communities by creating a dynamic platform for connection, visibility, and opportunity. Through our core pillars of Health & Wellness, Education, Entrepreneurship, and Wealth Creation, we foster meaningful engagement between businesses, consumers, and strategic partners—driving sustainable economic growth and cultural alignment.
What Is the
Metro Black Expo?
The Metro Black Expo is a premier business and cultural event in the Charlotte metropolitan area dedicated to fostering entrepreneurship, expanding access to knowledge and resources, strengthening communities, and creating pathways to economic opportunity.
Sponsor & Vendor Opportunities
The first Metro Black Expo opens the door for local businesses and community partners to get in early on something that’s about to become a fixture on the calendar. Vendor tables put your products, services, or mission directly in front of a crowd that’s showing up specifically to support Black-owned and community-rooted businesses — not browsing by accident, but looking for exactly what you’re selling. And because this is year one, the vendors who join now become part of the expo’s founding story, the names people remember when they talk about how it all started.
Sponsorship works the same way, just at a bigger scale. A sponsor’s name on the first Metro Black Expo isn’t one logo among fifty on a banner that’s been around for a decade — it’s a visible, early stake in something the community will point to for years. Whether that means covering the stage, branding a vendor row, or backing the whole event, sponsors get direct access to an engaged, high-turnout crowd plus the kind of goodwill that comes from being the company that believed in this before everyone else did.

Our Youth. Our Future
Metro Black Expo has always put its money where its mouth is when it comes to young people. This year’s youth business track isn’t a side panel tacked onto the main event — it’s built around the idea that a fourteen-year-old with a clear head for numbers or a good eye for design deserves the same stage as an established entrepreneur. Kids walk in curious and walk out with a business card, a mentor’s phone number, maybe their first real customer.
That matters because Black communities don’t get handed generational wealth the way other communities do. It gets built, one small business at a time, and it has to start somewhere. A teenager who learns to price a product or pitch an idea at sixteen is a business owner who understands margins and contracts by twenty-six. Metro Black Expo’s youth programming treats that timeline seriously instead of waiting for “someday” — because the community’s future isn’t an abstraction, it’s the specific kid setting up a table at the expo this weekend.
Community Growth
Beyond the event itself, Metro Black Expo is committed to strengthening communities, enriching cities, and contributing to the overall prosperity of the metro area by supporting small business development, encouraging investment, and creating pathways for long-term success and generational wealth.
